How to Be the Best Client Ever

Three short stops and a quick check-in at the summit. By the end, you'll know exactly how to send documents, how your checklist and Organizer work, what your tax meeting covers, and how to get unstuck.

Document Organization & Submission

Clean documents move faster through review. Here's the setup that keeps your file moving instead of stuck in a pile.

The two things that matter most

Complete your Organizer through TaxDome, and complete your checklist, every single item. If a document hasn't arrived yet, the checklist lets you mark it "not received" and pick a date for the system to remind you. Don't stress about file names, by the way. We rename everything to our own convention when it lands.

Back up before you upload

Keep a copy in cloud storage (Google Drive, Dropbox, iCloud, whatever you already use) before submitting. It's your record too, not just ours.

Submit through TaxDome

Log in to your TaxDome client portal, open the Documents tab, and drag files into the matching request. Everything lands where we expect it and stays encrypted in transit.

The one thing not to do

Don't scan your K-1, your 1099s, and your invoices into a single combined PDF. Keep every source document as its own separate file. A merged PDF is easy for a form to disappear inside of, and it slows down review while we sort out what's actually in it.
