How We Implement
Your Tech
Stack

The tools are the easy part. Getting them connected, migrated, and running without you — that's the work.

"Most businesses know they need better tools. What stops them isn't making the decision — it's the migration."

Moving historical data, connecting integrations, and actually shutting down the old system takes time most owners don't have. That's what this service covers. We handle the transition so you don't have to figure it out in between running your business.

Here's exactly what happens when we implement a tech stack for a client.

Step 1

We map what you have

Before we change anything, we document everything. Every tool, every subscription, every workflow, every integration (or lack of one). We map how data currently moves through your business — and where it gets stuck.

This usually surfaces at least one subscription that can be cancelled immediately.

Step 2

We design the target stack

We recommend the right tools for your specific situation. The general framework covers what we default to, but implementation clients get a custom plan based on your industry, team size, and how you actually run your business.

You see and approve the plan before we touch anything.

Step 3

We set everything up

Account creation, chart of accounts configuration, bank connections, payroll setup, integration wiring. For QBO migrations, we handle historical data import so you don't lose your reporting history.

Typical timeline: one to two weeks depending on complexity.

Step 4

We connect the integrations

Each tool needs to talk to the others. Payroll posts to accounting. Payments post to accounting. Banking syncs to accounting. We configure each integration and verify the data flows correctly before you go live.

We also set up automations — recurring transactions and categorization rules.

Step 5

We hand it off

We walk you and any team members who touch the books through the new setup. We document the key workflows in a reference guide specific to your business. You're not left wondering how to do something next month.

Ongoing tech stack consulting is included for Ascent and Summit clients.

What it costs

Implementation is priced based on the complexity of what you have now. Simple migrations — one company, clean books, standard tools — start at a flat project fee.

Complex situations — multiple entities, messy historical data, legacy systems that need to be unwound — get quoted after the audit.

Note: Bookkeeping clients may get implementation included.

If you're already on one of our bookkeeping plans, implementation may be included or discounted depending on your tier. Let me know and we'll figure out what makes sense.
