Monthly bookkeeping

Books that are closed, reconciled, and actually useful.

We keep your QuickBooks Online file current, reconciled, and closed on a fixed day each month, with financial statements you can read and a bookkeeper who knows your business. At year-end the books hand straight to the tax side, which is us.

Who it is for

  • Owners who are behind on their books or doing them at midnight
  • Businesses that want monthly statements they can make decisions from
  • Anyone whose tax preparer keeps asking for a cleaner ledger

What you get

  • Monthly close by the 15th, 10th, or 5th depending on tier
  • Profit and loss, balance sheet, and at Ascent and above a cash flow statement
  • Bank and credit card reconciliations every month
  • Quarterly or monthly review calls, and at Summit a custom reporting dashboard and 1099 filing
  • A tax-ready package at year-end that flows directly into your return

How it works

01

Diagnostic

We audit the current file and give you a ranked list of what is wrong and what it costs to fix.

02

Cleanup

Catch-up and cleanup are scoped as a project so the monthly work starts from a clean line.

03

Monthly rhythm

Transactions coded, accounts reconciled, statements delivered, questions answered in one place.

04

Year-end handoff

Adjusting entries, a tax-ready trial balance, and a handoff meeting at Summit.

Pricing

Bookkeeping starts around $500 a month and scales with transaction volume and account count. See the Bookkeeping tab on the pricing page.

Common questions

Do I have to use QuickBooks Online?

Yes. It is the platform we know deeply and the one our tax work is built around. We will help you migrate if you are on something else.

Can you do just the cleanup and let me take it from there?

Yes. The diagnostic and cleanup are a standalone project. Plenty of clients do that first and decide about the monthly service afterward.

Who actually does the work?

Our team in Folsom. Nothing is offshored, and the person coding your transactions is the person on your review call.
